Summary- This site took me about a month and a half to create half of that time was just the design of it. I basically wanted the site to capture the energy in GC's music and mirror the roots of the funk movement. I find that many music artist site nowadays contract site designs that are all about making it the site look "high-tech" and the true essence of the artists music is lost in the translation. For this reason I strived to my GC site as faithful to the funk movement as possible. It was kind of tough to find a happy medium between simple functionality and the over-the-top mentality of gc's music. Alas I chose to go over the top with the color combinations and titling yet remain conservative with the main menu system and main content being that they are the most heavily used parts of a website. The fan club section is still a work in progress I wasnt sure what it is exactly GC would have in mind. Especially if people have to pay for it so I left that as is and provided a few freebies. Overall this was a highly enjoyable project, not too many clients I know of that I could use this color palette with.
